Leaving Korriban

As the transport rocketed through hyperspace from Korriban Ar’lissa looked out at the swirling lines from the cockpit thinking about the fight with Darth Bane and her experience on Korriban in general. Maybe it was a blessing that sky-walkers lost their gifts as young adults so they wouldn’t be tempted and then consumed by the darkness she had witnessed. She hadn’t been, but then what made her destroy that chest armor without a second thought? What made her automatically go after the artifacts and remains instead of the spirit? All her training was screaming at her to unload on it, yet she instead focused on the artifacts. There was no clear correlation between the gear and the spirit like in the tomb on Yavin, they hadn’t even run into the spirit yet when they found the artifacts and she destroyed the chest armor. Yet something inside of her was screaming to destroy them immediately, a vision of what was to come?

She let her mind drift, with the door closed and the others were dealing with the past events in their own way on the rest of the ship, the cockpit was quiet. She found herself staring back into the swirl, her eyes partially closing with the tiredness she was feeling. Double vision: the present overlayed with a glimpse into the future – a comet just barely out of the ships path. Adrenaline kicked in and her eyes went wide as she reflexively reached for the controls only to find them locked out, she quickly reached for the lever to disengage the hyperdrive computer autopilot and then just as quickly brought her hand back. The vision was gone as suddenly as it had appeared. Her red eyes narrowed as she concentrated, focusing on the hyperspace swirl for a while but the adrenaline quickly faded, replaced once again by tiredness. She leaned back in the pilot’s chair and yawned before letting out a low sigh. ‘Probably just dosed off and dreamt it.’ She mumbled before looking at the chronometer. As she thought about getting some rest, the ship shuttered slightly and Ar’lissa’s eyes snapped open, quickly becoming fully alert once more. “Then again maybe I should stay here a bit longer just to be safe.
