The sun rides high in the sky today.
Golden rays bless my passage north, and a cool breeze brushes my cheek as I write.
Yet I cannot help but wonder: if this road is so favored by the gods above, why does every man not take it?
Once I was constrained, held fast by my own will to a home that I could never truly call mine.
A place where I was born, but never lived.
It seems so simple now.
I only had to choose to leave.
Freedom is what I have found on this road.
Freedom is what any man might find if he can do just one simple thing:
Choose.
