My Hero Andromeda

The Andromeda Initiative is meant to be a new beginning.
For Midoriya Izuku, it’s meant to be a new frontier, a chance to be one of the first Heroes of a new galaxy, to shape what being a Hero means. An opportunity to give One For All a future separate from its brother Quirk, even if it would die out with him. And maybe, just maybe, a chance for his boyfriend and his family to grow out of the shadow of rage and abuse they have suffered under for too long.
For Hawks, Andromeda is just another mission, but with long-lasting repercussions he’s not sure he’s allowed to want. At the end of the day, though, it does present an escape from the cage of the Hero Public Safety Commission and the League of Villains, something he takes with a relish he’s scared to think of. The Pathfinder team isn’t the most welcoming, but he’s dealt with Endeavor for years now; he can warm up to these people, easy.
For Scott Ryder, all Andromeda is, is an escape from a cruel galaxy that chooses to paint him in the same brush as his father, but also a chance to bond with his family members once again. No matter how volatile their relationships are, for various reasons both legitimate and not. This might not have been the path he’d have chosen, if he had a real choice in the matter, but it’s what he has available to him at the end of the day, so he’s going to make the most of it.
If only Andromeda was so accommodating. If only things had gone right in the six hundred years it took for the Initiative to get there. But they haven’t, and now it’s up to them to pick up the pieces.
