It is told in the ages long before the tranquility. That six beings resided in Ikthvana. However this document will only cover five of them in detail. Now, behold the wonders of creation.
Around Five-thousand years ago1 before the current era, The Knowing One descended from the moon. From this, Eowya the first continent was formed. Onir (The Knowing One) waved his hands and a mountain formed beneath him. He landed atop the mountain and created the surrounding land. When he landed he spoke, "Naris". A being sprang up from the mountain peak. He was grey in and black in coloration, he wore a suit of armour made of rock, and this armour was decorated with all of the valuable gems of the earth. His eyes a deep piercing grey.
Then Onir said, "Your name shall be Naris, and you will be called the lord of the mountains."
"Yes father." Naris' gravelly voice responded. He then bore himself into the peak of the mountain.
Onir then found a tree, in fact this tree was the first tree in creation. Onir spoke to the tree and said "Voltet." The tree began to moan and creak, snapping as a man emerged from the base. Onir said, "Your name shall be Voltet and you will be called Lord of the Wilds." Voltet was the colour of bark and wore a cloak made of leaves from each tree in Eowya. He had no need to wear a tunic for his skin was bark-like. His eyes were the colour of hardened tree sap.
"Yes father." said Voltet in a slow, melodic tone. He was then ensnarred by the tree he emerged from.
Then Onir left Voltet. And returned to the mountain he formed when he descended. Onir stood at the peak and saw the edge of Eowya was dry, "Xeas!" Onir shouted to the rocky void. The void opened up and water began to fill the void around Eowya. The entity Onir called Xeas was the lord of the seas. Xeas was perhaps the tamest of the princes likely due to his fluid nature. Although on occasion Xeas' fury came in full force.
Onir flew west, as he descended to the ground, ash began to engulf him. Onir spread his hands and started to shape the ash into a humanoidal figure. Once the figure took shape, he placed his hands on the blank face and said, "Mieyar."
The being then erupted into a dancing blaze, its form not being immediate. The swirling fire lept from the body of Mieyar, and lifted his body into the air, Onir lifted his head to Mieyar and said, "You will be called Mieyar, the Lord of the Blaze." When Onir spoke, Mieyar slammed into the earth. In his wake, the surrounding lands had become engulfed in fire and ash.
A smoky, soft voice sounded in the wind, "Yes father."
Onir then flew to the north, when he arrived he did not descend. Instead, he stayed suspended in the void and took a deep breath. The instant he exhaled, a mighty temptest poured out of his mouth. As he did so, Onir said breathily, "Rivlan."
As Rivlan erupted from Onir's mouth, he had taken his form. He was dressed with the typical garb a sailor of the current era might don. It is rumored as well, that wherever he goes soft gusts are allways his accomplices.
The Formation of Eowya
Scholars often debate what is accurate when it comes to the creation of Ikthvana. I will publish here my findings that are widely perceived as fact.
It then began when Onir assembled council of his sons. He brought them to the mountain's peak and told them the dominions and control they had over Ikthvana. He said to them, "You who I say rules over the earth, you will command the forming of mountains, the carving of canyons, the creation of caves. You will work along side the lord of the seas. Both of you will work in harmony to create the lands and the seas, and any other formations you deem worthy."
Xeas and Naris said, "Yes father."
Onir continued, "Lord of the Blaze, you will be an intense and fierce warrior. However, that does not mean you do not posses the power to create. You shall create the borders between the land and seas. You will cleanse the Lord of the Wild's forests as you deem necessary. You will in tandem create the climates along side the Lord of the Air and the Lord of the Wild."
"Lord of the Wilds, you will create the forests and overgrown nature alongside your brothers assistance will create vast and wonderous biomes, reflecting your domains." Said Onir.
Voltet said to him. "Yes father."
"Lord of the Seas, you will form the currents of the water and the motion of rivers. You have dominion over the creatures that dwell in you, and alongside the lord of the air you shall create storms to replentish Ikthvana."
Xeas and Rivlan said to him. "Yes father."
Onir said to them all. "Now go! Prove your ability to create. And work in harmony with one another."
Control
And so the princes departed and began shaping Eowya. The Lords of the mountain and seas began to shape the continent. Carving canyons and rivers that ran through Eowya. The Lords of Fire, Air, and The Wilds began shaping the biomes and climate.
To the north they formed Acla, the domain of Rivlan. Here it whistles with a calm breeze, seeming to call for its master. Acla has some affinity with the Lords of Air and The Wilds. However it was Rivlan who created the majority of Acla. Rivlan even asked Naris to grant him chunks of rock to form into islands. And so Naris gave his brother eight, mile wide slabs of rock to do with as he pleased. So Rivlan formed these eight slabs into landmasses to be held aloft by his power of the wind. They all orbited a larger, central island that housed Rivlan's palace.
The south was controlled by Voltet, He shaped it into a massive jungle, this labyrinth was a tangle of tall trees and living vines that ran deep under Eowya. Voltet named this place Eshor. Eshor was a paradise, free of disaster and peril, Voltet also created many plants and beasts along side the other Lords, sharing some of the attributes that the Lords had respectively. Voltet is sometimes reffered to as the master of life. Of course, the only one with this title would be Onir.
The west was the domain of Mieyar, he called this place Ustad. Ustad was covered in ash, the air was like sulphur, the trees are constantly on fire, yet they do not appear to be consumed. Ustad held at its center, a massive obsidian tower he named Utrubyar or as it roughly translates to in common, The Grand Pyre. Utrubyar is the throne of Mieyar, he uses Utrubyar as a catalyst, allowing him to send liquid flame throughout Eowya.
To the east, Xeas created Sedulir. A castle in the ocean off of the coast of Eowya. He carved out a part of Eowya to form a cove, in which Sedulir is located. Sedulir crested the oceans surface, barely visible to the mortal eye. Xeas made his kingdom out of ice. It could never melt for his power was surrounding it. It is rumored that all waterways end at Sedulir. Xeas, carrying out his father's duties, created the ocean currents. And deep beneath the surface, rests the Leviathan, Thijanti. Many scholars debate the origin of Thijanti, some believe that Thijanti is the offspring of Xeas, and others believe that Thijanti is Xeas. Stating that Xeas split into two seperate beings, one took a shapeless form, and the other took the form of a monsterous Leviathan. Both create the sea life that resides beneath.
In the center of it all, there was the domain of Naris, which he called Tinedale. A gargantuan mountain range that was bordered by deep canyons. At the apex of Tinedale sat Onirynth, which in common possibly translates to The Throne of Creation. Another potential translation is The Foundation. Scholars debate that Naris created the throne as a gift to his father which shared his name. Others argue that Naris made the Onirynth as a symbol of him being first-made2. In my research no scholar had pointed out that it could be both.
Division of Purpose
After the Princes formed their domains they began to follow their father's orders. They gathered at The Onirynth and split into ten aspects of themselves, each aspect waited for another of a different origin. When they had joined together, they adopt a name for themselves instead of it being given to them by their respective princes. When this event took place The Division, had begun.
Aspects of Naris and Voltet fused into one being. Knolux, Knight of mammals. She wore patches of animal skins, her skin was patchy with different types of animal fur covering it. Knolux is said to have the power to shift into various mammals and can commune with them.
Voltet gave one of his aspects the name Wayth making them his Heir to the Forests. Wayth is described as a kind nature spirit, with the appearence of a wood-elf.
